In 2015, I will be taking on the challenge of climbing to Mt Everest Base Camp with World Vision Australia.
As I’m currently travelling around the world for 4 months, I’ve decided to start my training ASAP. My goal is to do at least one training walk of 1+ hours (preferably 2-3 hours) in each new city I visit. This means I should get in one walk a week for the 16 weeks I’m away.
I’ve managed to hit my target so far and here are some summary shots from my walks. I’ll also be adding a post on each of the walks! Loving the exercise and the exploring.
EAST GRINSTEAD, WEST SUSSEX, ENGLAND
DURHAM, DURHAM, ENGLAND
HAMPSTEAD HEATH, LONDON, ENGLAND
TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA
ANTIGONISH, NOVA SCOTIA, CANADA
HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA, CANADA
Now it’s off to the U.S. and I plan to carry on with my training walks in each new place I stay. Hopefully more than one each visit but certainly at least one. Keep up to date with my training here!
I’m climbing to Mt Everest Base Camp on March 7, 2015.
